My name is Ashlyn Ervin I am a literary arts student at Mississippi School of the Arts, and I have recently been accepted to the University of Southern Mississippi. Since I plan to attend the university in the fall, and am looking for scholarship monies I want to make sure I have given officials on campus adequate updates pertaining to my literary achievements as I receive them. With that in mind, Dr. Jeanne Lebow, my literary arts teacher, suggested I contact you among others to inform you of my achievements in Scholastics Art and Writing Awards sponsored by the Alliance for Young Artists and Writers.

I received the following gold keys in the national regional competition, and my work will automatically be sent to the national finals:

Portfolio gold key for my general writing portfolio
Individual gold key for my poem, "Mouth to Mouth"
Individual gold key for my personal essay, "Big Girls"
